Values come into play

Renewed support for Barca Reno, a football association in the province of Bologna, source of future football talents.

Sporting activity offers young people an excellent opportunity for healthy entertainment, and at the same time for growth and the assimilation of important positive values which will make them better adults.

For this reason and to encourage this type of activity, this year solidarity will continue between Varvel SpA, a company specialized in power transmission at an International level, and Barca Reno, a local non-profit football association.

The Football School ( is recognized by the Italian Football Federation and it participates in the Championships of the Emilia Romagna National Amateur League, working with the UISP Football League in the organization of tournaments.

The Barca Reno association was founded in 1964 and stands out in the spectrum of Bolognese football teams for the excellent results achieved in over 50 years of history and dedication to the training of young champions.

The aim of the association is to enable young people to play football without the pressure of competitions, respecting the values of entertainment, sport education, serenity, conviviality, in line with the Charter of Children’s Rights (New York – Convention on Children’s Rights of 20/11/89 and of the “Charter of rights of young people to engage in Sport” Geneva ’92 – Leisure Commission O.N.U.).

These values are fully shared by Varvel, a socially responsible company which cares about the community, which wants to enhance people’s lives and the surrounding geographical area, offering support to those who are in need, being committed to protect the environment and by collaborating at an International level.

We have to provide young people with the best tools to help them face the future through numerous training activities – say Francesco Berselli and Mauro Cominoli, President and Managing Director of Varvel SpAwhich will allow them to learn those values that are at the base of real positive coexistence, indispensable for the success of a team, a company and at a broader level, society as a whole. As a company we have decided to support countless sporting and cultural initiatives which share similar company ethics”.
