The well-established Bolognese company which has always had the local area and the encouragement of young talent at heart, has renewed its support for the Master in Racing MotorBike Engineering, by once again this year awarding the most deserving student with a grant.
Commitment, passion and sacrifice as key elements for growth and excellence. These are just some of the values that drive Varvel SpA, a Bolognese company which has been producing reducers and mechanical variators for the world market for over sixty years. For this reason, the socially responsible company based in Crespellano has decided to award a study grant to the top student of the Master in Racing Motorbike Engineering, organized by Professional Datagest, which provides high level training for business.
With this donation Varvel reinforces the partnership which began four years ago, when the company awarded a grant to two young racing motobike enthusiasts from the part of Emilia that was struck by the earthquake in 2012.
The highly specialized Master is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate engineers, with the aim of providing them with adequate technical skills for the design and production of racing motorbikes. The training course includes classroom study as well as company visits to acquire the relevant knowledge with a view to working in the motorbike sector.
For years Varvel has been dedicated to the creation of a woven thread connecting training to the world of work. One example of this are the guided visits of the company organized for first and second year students from higher education institutes and another example is the way we host undergraduates who are preparing their thesises on topics related to the mechanics sector. No less important, in this sense, is the role played in the IFTS project “Higher technician in the industrialization of products and mechanical processes” in collaboration with the Aldini Valeriani Foundation. This is a project which was devised to train employed and unemployed young people and adults in the mechanical sector.
This attention to young people is reflected in the fact that since 2009 Varvel has had the «Bollino Ok Stage», a recognition that the “Republic of Interns” awards to companies that promote work experience initiatives respecting the “Charter of interns’ rights”.
“Commitment to transform a passion into a job is as deserving as it is difficult – states Francesco Berselli, President of Varvel SpA – and so it is right to reward and support those who strive, with such sacrifice, to succeed in this noble intent”.
“Investing in young people is very important for Varvel – declares Mauro Cominoli, Managing Director of Varvel SpA – refecting our conviction that it is the duty of producers to do all we can to encourage well-trained, competent resources to gain access the world of work”.
